Privacy Policy

01Overview

My Day is a daily planner app for iPhone that helps you manage tasks, habits, calendar events and reminders. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is stored and synced, and the choices you have. In this policy, "My Day" or "the app" refers to the application itself, and "we," "us" and "our" refer to its developer.

My Day is built to work primarily on your device. Your planner data — tasks, habits, events and reminder settings — is stored locally in the app and, if you choose to enable it, synced privately through your own Apple iCloud account.

In short: we don't run our own servers that store your tasks, habits or events, and we don't sell your data. My Day is supported by ads served through Google AdMob — see Advertising & AdMob below for what that involves.

02Data we collect

The information handled by My Day falls into a few categories:

  • Planner content you create — tasks, lists, priorities, habit names and streak history, calendar events, and reminder preferences.
  • App settings — your preferences such as reminder toggles, widget configuration and display options.
  • Device and diagnostic information — general, non‑identifying technical information (such as app version, device type and crash logs) that may be used to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Advertising identifiers — with your permission, an advertising identifier (such as your device's IDFA) and general technical data (device type, coarse location, ad interaction) collected by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads. See Advertising & AdMob for details.

My Day does not require you to create an account, and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the core features of the app.

03iCloud sync & storage

If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your planner data is synced using Apple's iCloud service, under the Apple ID already signed in on your device. This lets your tasks, habits and events stay up to date across your own iPhone and iPad.

This data is stored within your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's own privacy and security practices. We do not have access to your iCloud credentials, and we do not operate the iCloud service ourselves. You can review or manage what's stored in iCloud at any time from your device's iCloud settings, and you can disable sync in My Day whenever you like.

04How we use data

Any information handled by the app is used only to:

  • Provide the core planner experience — displaying, organizing and reminding you about your tasks, habits and events.
  • Sync your planner across your own devices, if you enable iCloud Sync.
  • Back up and restore your data at your request.
  • Diagnose crashes and technical issues so we can improve reliability.

We do not use your planner content — your task names, habit details or event descriptions — for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app for you and, where applicable, serving the ads described below.

05Advertising & AdMob

My Day is a free app supported in part by advertising. We use Google AdMob to serve ads within the app. AdMob is operated by Google and works by placing a small software development kit (SDK) inside the app that requests and displays ads.

To do this, AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process:

  • Device and advertising identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID / IDFA on iOS).
  • General device information — device model, operating system, language and time zone.
  • Coarse, non‑precise location information (such as country or region), used to serve more relevant ads.
  • Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped, and how the app was used around those ads.

This information is used to select, deliver and measure ads, and to help prevent invalid traffic and fraud. It is handled under Google's own privacy and advertising policies — see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from AdMob partner sites and apps.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On iOS, My Day will ask for your permission before using your device's advertising identifier for tracking, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," My Day and AdMob will not use your advertising identifier for cross‑app tracking, and you may still see ads, just less tailored to you. You can review or change this choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

Ad personalization. Where permitted, ads may be personalized based on the information above. You can limit ad personalization by disabling tracking as described above, and by reviewing your ad settings directly with Google at adssettings.google.com.

Your planner content itself — your tasks, habits, events and reminders — is never shared with AdMob or any advertising partner.

06Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal information. Aside from Google AdMob (described above) and limited technical services such as anonymous crash reporting or app‑performance tooling, My Day does not share data with third parties. Any such provider only receives the minimum information needed to do its job, under its own privacy terms.

Your planner content synced via iCloud is shared only with Apple, as the operator of iCloud, under Apple's own privacy terms — not with us, AdMob, or any other third party.

07Security

My Day stores your data locally on your device and, optionally, within your encrypted iCloud account. We follow standard industry practices to protect information handled by the app, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

08Data retention & deletion

Your planner data remains on your device (and in iCloud, if enabled) for as long as you keep the app installed and signed in. You can delete individual tasks, habits or events at any time within the app.

Uninstalling the app removes local data from your device. If iCloud Sync was enabled, you can also remove My Day's data from iCloud through your device's iCloud storage settings. Advertising identifiers are managed by your device's operating system, not by us — resetting your device's advertising identifier or restricting tracking will limit what AdMob can associate with your device going forward.

09Children's privacy

My Day is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Ads served through AdMob are configured to follow Google's requirements for apps not directed at children, including restricting personalized advertising where required. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.

10Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Because your planner content lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, you can exercise most of these rights directly — by editing or deleting entries in the app, or by managing your iCloud storage in your device settings.

For advertising data, you can limit tracking through your device's App Tracking Transparency setting and manage ad personalization through Google's ad settings, both linked in Advertising & AdMob above.

For anything else, or if you have questions about your rights, reach out using the contact details below.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever changes are made. Continued use of My Day after an update means you accept the revised policy.

12Terms of use (summary)

My Day is provided "as is" for personal planning purposes. You're responsible for the content you add to the app. The app displays third‑party ads served through Google AdMob to help keep My Day free; we aren't responsible for the content of individual ads shown by that network. We work to keep the app reliable and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we aren't liable for lost productivity, missed reminders, or data loss beyond what's reasonably within our control. Continued use of the app means you agree to these terms and to this Privacy Policy.
